Golden State Warriors

By Dillan Jackson

The Golden State Warriors had a great start to their season with 10 wins and 2 losses.

The Warriors have been losing games partly because they have injured star players. Stephen Curry, our starting point guard, injured his groin and sat out for 11 games. Another player that will not be returning till next season, starting center Demarcus Cousins, tore his Achilles tendon.

“I love the Golden State Warriors,” said Ramonte’ Ross, a freshman. “I love the Warriors because they have really good players and [they’re] the home team of the Bay Area. Also, the Warriors help donate for our community.”

Five teams, the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings, are all part of the Pacific division of the National Basketball Association.

The Warriors need our players because in the last few games we have been losing more than in recent years. Kevin Durant is the main player that everyone is going to rely off because he is really good and can take over. If all of our injured players were in good health, we probably wouldn’t lose any more games.

The Warriors will be playing  the Los Angeles Lakers on the evening of Dec. 25. This will be a great game between two teams and, of course, Lakers star LeBron James, one of the best players in the world. So this will be a good challenging game, and hopefully we will have all of our players back.

In the last few years the Warriors have acquired two important, really good players because of players that got traded. In 2016, the Warriors acquired Kevin Durant, who made big waves in the NBA when he announced that he had agreed to sign with the warriors. In 2018, they also acquired Demarcus Cousins.
