Here come the Guardians once again to save the Galaxy.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2”, directed by James Gunn, was released on May 5th, 2017. It is part of a series of movies that Marvel plans to release within the next few years. I, myself, am not a huge fan of many of the Marvel movies, but this particular movie had me laughing nonstop.
In “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2,” once again we follow Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and his fellow Guardians who are hired by a powerful alien race, the Sovereign, to protect precious batteries from invaders who want to steal them. After they successfully defeat a giant monster, the Guardians are thanked for their hard work. Once it is known that Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) steals some of the precious batteries, the Sovereign leader sends out her army out to destroy the Guardians.
While the Guardians are on the run from the Sovereigns, Peter encounters his father, Ego. Ego then takes Peter back to a planet which he created. There they start to create a father and son bond that both needed very much. However, things take a turn for the worse when Ego begins to take control over Peter in order to use his powers to destroy the world. The Guardians must now come together and save their friend Peter from his evil father.
Overall, I loved this movie because it teaches us a lesson about the difference between who are our friends and those who are our family. The lesson I got from this is that family will not always be there for you, but those who are your friends will treat you more like family in times of need than those who are actually your family members. Depending on the bond you have with your friends, they are more likely not to turn their backs you.
Comparing this to the first film, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”, to me focused more on the friendship bonds within the characters. It also sort of focused on the meaning of family.
I give this movie an A. It was such a funny and entertaining movie that I’m pretty sure everyone will like.
