Fast and Furious 7 is an exciting action movie full of fights, stunts, and car races. It is the eighth movie of The Fast and the Furious franchise.
Fast and Furious 7 starts out with an assassin named Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) who explodes a building. Deckard Shaw is the older brother of Owen Shaw, who was lost unconscious and defeated by Dom’s (Vin Diesel) crew in Fast and Furious 6. Deckard Shaw sets out to get revenge on them in Fast and Furious 7.
The actor Paul Walker, who plays Brian O’ Connor in the film series, died in a severe car accident with his driver in 2013. Before Paul’s death, the cast and Paul filmed some of the parts for FF7, but Paul’s other parts weren’t done so Paul’s brother, Cody Walker, fills in for his unfilmed parts in FF7. The producers added a remembrance video after Fast and Furious 7, honoring the late Paul Walker, which made many people emotional.
This movie is really great. It has so many extreme stunts; they even drop cars out of a plane! But I cried a lot when I watched the film, especially the last part of the movie where Brian is retiring. He and Dom have their last ride together; they drive off along a road and they get separated. It drove me to tears.
This movie includes a bunch of new characters like God’s Eye, Mr. Nobody, Kara, and Mose Jakande. God’s Eye is a professional female hacker named Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) who helps Dom’s crew in catching Mose (Djimon Hounsou) and Shaw. Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) is a leader of covert teams who helps Dom in catching Shaw. Kara (Ronda Rousey) is the head security for the Abu Dhabi billionaire, the billionaire who keeps a memory chip that was accidently sold from Ramsey’s friend, Zafar (Ali Fazal). And there is Mose, a mercenary who searches for God’s Eye.
If you love Paul Walker and have watched the other movies in the Fast and Furious franchise, this is the movie for you guys! If you hate watching action and cars, don’t watch it. Also, some parts of the movie escalated too quickly; like in the beginning, it went from a car race, to a dangerous mission. It doesn’t really make sense when the film just jumps into one plot into another.
My overall grade for Fast and Furious 7 is an A-. I love everything about it. The stunts and fights were very exciting, and the film also shows the importance of family.
