On June 3, English teacher Lizzy Vlasses and special guest Elena Wright from the Berkeley Repertory Theatre brought the play we all read in our freshman year to life.
This play included freshman students playing the characters and really getting into character; in every scene, the actors put forth their best effort.
Students from the class learned about how to be confident in front of a large audience and more about the famous play.
“I was nervous at first,” said one student. “But then I got adjusted to it. I feel confident after performing.”
Students and staff also commended the teachers for putting the play together.
“I would like to congratulate those who made this possible,” said social studies teacher Ruben Rodriguez. “ I hope we can continue having assemblies like this at school.”
