Campus to remain open for one more year

Despite earlier plans to the contrary, there will be no closed-campus lunch next year.
According to social studies teacher Amy Dellefield, closed-campus lunch is now slated to begin in the 2012-2013 school year. Dellefield stated that the faculty decided to move it because the cafeteria staff are figuring out how to serve lunch fast enough to reach all the students during the lunch period.
Principal Alicia Romero said that she had a meeting with the District, and they all agreed that the campus was not ready for students to stay on campus. Romero said that adjustments will have to be made for the lunch windows and food carts.
“Accommodations for more students on campus will be added to the construction project,” said Romero.
