Popular player makes a mid-career move

Many basketball fans believe that Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, LeBron Jamesand Carmelo Anthony are some of the best NBA players of 2011.
Anthony has been playing with Denver for seven years, but recently said he was going to retire unless he was traded to his hometown New York Knicks. He transferred to the Knicks in February.
“I think Carmelo Anthony is better with the Knicks,” said sophomore Michael Holmes.
Anthony is an NBA all-star from New York. Raised by his mother along with 2 brothers, Anthony went to Syracuse College in 2002.
He was selected by the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2003 NBA draft. He signed an extension with Denver on July 12, 2006.
Anthony was a top scorer and star attraction of the National Association’s Denver Nuggets from 2003 to 2011.
He went to Athens in 2004 and won a bronze medal as a member of the U.S Olympic team.
Anthony is admired throughout the NBA. He seems to be the best NBA player . Without him, the basketball league wouldn’t be the same.
Fans seem to respect Anthony’s choice to switch teams.
“I think it was a good thing for him as a player,” said senior Miles Gordon. “He’ll more than likely get a [championship] ring because of the trade.”
